Why You Failed at Affiliate Marketing

    The simplest thing is this:
You were selling. People don't like that. Stop selling and start solving problems. It isn't something specific to a niche or product. How you present the information is everything. Consider how someone can sell an average vaccuum cleaner. Then the next guy sells the infamous Kirby vacuum cleaner and convinced thousands of people to buy them simply by offering to clean their home for free with it. This type of selling is called solution selling. When you solve a pain point or problem -> you earn trust. People buy products from friends recommendations, not salesmen.

The other thing is this: stop pushing low-ticket garbage. Serious companies will have a great affiliate offer. I know plenty paying up to 40% and some 50% on recurring subscriptions. The software space has plenty, so find something that you can be passionate about pushing and there is a starving market that needs it. If you are unsure of what you are selling -> people will detect that and they don't buy things shrouded in uncertainty. Sell stuff you can take pride in selling and don't just hawk the latest diet pill or sell snake oil to people.
