It depends on who you get your services from to be honest, I see at least 10 new topics a day with "1st page ranking or your money back", it's impossible to offer this, unless of course they control Google/the SERPs, but then, why would they be selling this? I'd be dominating the most competitive keywords and, to be blunt, I'd be so rich. Lol.
This is not necessairly true. Some people's business is SEO. You can't expect them to go out there and dominate other niches. Getting traffic to a website is just a part of the overall process. You can get all the traffic you want however that traffic is useless if you don't know how to convert it.
There's never any guarantees with search engines. All you can really ask for is a well thought out, well documented strategy, which should include very specific, quantifiable, agreed upon measurables. Then you monitor the measurables, and if they don't meet the pre-determined marks, then you find a new SEO guy.
Yes as said, there is no guarantee in SEO. For few days the keyword may rank first page, then algorithm changes and keywords may lose the first page rank, will the seo company give back the money, Its all depends on our own self experience and keywords research.
