Everyone know's that yahoo is one of the biggest company like Goolge, or Microsoft, but why Yahoo charge fees on registering any website on Yahoo Search Engine/ Web directory? but in paradox Google do not charge any sort fees regarding registering a site on it. So my question is that why Yahoo charge..? some extra fees? i don't understand y?

Yahoo don't charge any fees for submitting websites in their search engines
however they do charge for submitting in their directory .

I believe Google don't have a directory they just use Dmoz

It is only the Yahoo directory they charge for although i suspect many people would prefer if that was free. :)

I think many people here remember that yahoo was the first one service that allowed visitors to search sites. I think they did'n changed paid subscription model for last 10 years but this allow to block spam sites :)
