Why Yahoo search engine is harder than Google

    Hello,

After submitting new articles to directories and new pages to Social bookmarking sites, my new web pages got indexed on the 3rd or 4rd page on Google after 1 or 2 months. But I never found these pages on Yahoo.

I think because I don't pay for Yahoo to be included in their search engine.

Do we really have to pay to be included in Yahoo search engine?

    Thanks,

    Have a good day!

You don't need to pay for search results. You're not ranking on Yahoo well, probably because of the competition on Yahoo. Yahoo search database is the oldest and being the oldest search engine, there is a lot of competition for searches on Yahoo.
Relax and continue with your regular SEO practice, you'll eventually start featuring in the rankings. Also, if you have started ranking well on Google, you'll get the traffic on the site, if the targeted keywords drive good traffic.

Yes, you don't need to pay. Yahoo also pays more attention to your meta tags so
make sure you are using those appropriately.

But if you are ranking in google then you are doing something right. Continue
to apply sound SEO practices along with quality content and you will get more
    results.

Both have different algorithm .. so sometimes your site comes on first page for some keyword on yahoo but not on google and sometime vice versa

I don't think you have to pay them to be on it. It just takes longer time to be on Yahoo Search Engine.. I had a page once that show on Google right away but a few more weeks to show up at Yahoo. Good luck!

Yes, you may pay yahoo for inclussion in their directory, "only" 299 $/year
I think your site is not visible, because of competition. Maybe link exchange from Yahoo high ranked sites will help ........
