Why yahoo mail is getting more spam then gmail?

    definately gmail has better spam filters , i think it blocks email of regular email senders so it does not even reach our spam box.

    Google's spam filter is better than the yahoo's. Also submission of your email id to shady forums, and different places increases the spams you receive.

    When talking about spam, actually, it's closely related with our daily internet activities. So we cannot say whether gmail, yahoo or hotmail is better. Once you subscribe to some mailing list, there's possibilities that your email add will be distributes among spammers.

    I get way more spam on Yahoo than gmail also from day 1. Yahoo also puts a lot of good email in spam so I do have to check it often.:mad:

    I switched to a gmail account because my yahoo mail has this free lottery spam that never stops. I got thousands of mails saying that i won a prize from a lottery and i have to claim it. Awful...

    yup,thats how you get alot of spam.i get more from my msn email because i use that one for sign ups and stuff.then yahoo and gmail because is use the for different stuff

    I get nearly 300 spam emails a day! They get it sometimes from when you sign up on forums and your email is displayed on your profile. Atleast from my POV. Make a spam account to stop it.

    yahoo is spamming a lot as comparison to gmail

    Ive cleaned out my entire email and got rid of any spyware,adware and virus with norton, why does my friends still get spammy emails from my yahoo email account?
