I Don't Think Yahoo is better Than Google ................... But Just want to say Yahoo answer is Good .........But Bcoz Of Yahoo Answers I Can't say Yahoo is best...... Sorry YAhoo
This question is posted in the YSM section, so i am assuming what is being asked is why is YSM better than Adwords? I see a lot of replies regarding search engine rankings and placements. In my opinion, YSM is better the Adwords in the respect that you don't have to worry about quality score as much and you can generally get cheaper clicks. I have also found conversions to be higher for some PPC campaigns in Yahoo. I guess it all depends on what you are promoting.
Google gets 60% of the traffic, Yahoo 20% and Bing 10%. The rest goes to the smaller engines like Ask.com. YES Yahoo IS better than Google if you're doing affiliate marketing. Having found success through earning billions of dollars from the affiliates each year, Google has now turned around to backstab us. Surely there are spammy and lying affiliates out there, but legitimate ones are also getting banned and suspended here and there. They have successfully pruned 90% of the affiliates out of the market, and are continuing to do so. Some say that this is all part of the conspiracy and really Google is just trying to monopolize the entire affiliate market and become the biggest affiliate themselves. Some say that Google is thinking long term, the aim of filtering out the 'BAD' affiliates is to focus more on quality rather than quantity. The latter makes more sense to me but the way they do it is totally outrageous. They are banning whoever and whenever they want without giving any prior warning and reasons. Their extremely stupid Terms & Conditions are ambiguous enough to give them reasons to ban 99.99% of the people using Adwords. I've given up on Adwords. The biggest reason? Sure, I can keep tweaking my campaigns, landing pages, ad copy and keywords, but the risk factor is just way too high; it's over the top. You won't be able to sleep at night if you keep worrying about your account/campaigns being dead the next morning. The amount of time you spend sending emails to them, calling them, waiting for them to rectify the problems which apparently depends greatly on their mood, are all opportunities for you to earn more money. Time = Money, and Google = Waste your time on petty things = inconsistent and petty income. Conclusion is, even though G gets 3 times the traffic of Yahoo, stick to Yahoo & Bing. Google has earned enough to not care about PPC now. With hundreds of billions, you would be mapping out the sea, moon and mars and earning $ from elsewhere would you? Stop feeding Google, they will eat us (not just affiliates) all up one day. Just my 2 cents, by no means am I saying that it IS the truth. Regards gasura
Thanks for all the information, I'm actualy running a few CPC campaigns with Microsoft AdCenter so might go ahead and try Yahoo.
I like Yahoo as well as Google, however, as some other people mentioned before Yahoo answers are really awesome. I really like Yahoo news and the homepage. Google is probably the better way to search though. Yahoo has cool stuff, yet Google is the better search engine.
Have to say that google's attitude to its customers is really strange. They woo you, set everything up for you and then, without any notice, close your account, leaving you high and dry (and they keep your money)
Yahoo is not better than google when it comes to queries but Yahoo is better than google if you are a new website owner.
I think google is more user-friendly. I use it more often than yahoo! Google has been around for longer and thus everyone is more familiar with google. Also, there are many more weirder searches, which makes Google more entertaining
Mostly people they have very good experience on google search engine. They guys update it and work on it all the time. They are giving other many features and I think good is much better than yahoo no doubt yahoo is very usefully but google is much better than
As far as i know, Yahoo has never been better than Google? One example is todays' SERP'S from Yahoo. They put mostly non-index pages in the first page. If you check your site today, it's probably gone now because of the algorithm.
