Why Yahoo doesn't index my website pages as Google does?

It is very strange that most of my website pages are included in Google, but not in Yahoo. What' s wrong? It seems that Yahoo doesn't like my website, what can i do to change the situation ?

I was wondering the same thing. I think it might have something to do with Bing now running the Yahoo site submission. If you have tried to submit a site to yahoo lately, you will find that it ends up being submitted through Bing.

Thank you for your prompt answer. In fact, bing has included most of my website pages. But how to optimize the website in Yahoo? After all, Yahoo is the second fiddle in the search market, we just can't neglet it.

Let me know your website name. Well, verify your website name in bing.It will come automatically in yahoo. It takes some time but don't in hurry.

Yahoo does indexed my website, but very few of them. To put it in another way, my website does well in bing, but very bad in Yahoo. And if you like, you can find my website in the signature.

this is the case with most of us but the problem is no body knows if there is any separate formula for Yahoo algorithm. I think its the same but if you are doing good in Google, then simply forget about Yahoo. who use Yahoo for searches anymore.

Have you tried searching for the URL of your site in Yahoo?

Type the URL in the search area.

If Yahoo brings up your site, you've been indexed. You may not be ranking highly.

I just can't understand, 600 more pages of my website were indexed by Google, but only 1 page of my website was indexed by Yahoo. Why is that ? I remembered that there were more pages were indexed in Yahoo before.

You should use yahoo tools and try to submit your site on yahoo related site like... yahoo directory, yahoo answer, yahoo social page etc...
I think this will works well.

Yahoo runs with a different algorithm you cannot expect google and yahoo to play ball the same way, its like art and two different kinds of art.

Yahoo is too small, so they may take time to index your site.

For yahoo the algorithm is different as far I know. They value the age of the site and for how many years the domain is registered for.

I've found that my website ranks a lot better in Google than Bing and Yahoo combined even though I do keep the Bing Webmaster Tools updated with my sitemap it doesnt seem to help that much.
