Why yahoo closed public chat Room

hi!guys can any one tell me why yahoo closed their public chat Room..???
According to my knowledge yahoo is the 2nd major search engine and becomes after the Google and have a lot of visitor also i like yahoo answer specially ........
so i request to yahoo team that open public chat room and come people to closer so they share their thoughts directly with each other ,also help each other

Yahoo announced that they were closing the chat rooms on December 14th, 2012 and said they were focusing their efforts on other areas.

I think due to alot of spam in their chat rooms, they would closed chat rooms. However we hope that some other feature like this would be introduced soon.
Meanwhile MSN Messengers are also going to be suspended very soon..

 

but i have no think as you due spam but i think a lot of audience and flattering reason

 

Websites always change. These forums have changed a lot in the past year, for instance

 

yes i agree with him and i think yahoo owner got something better idea for making money then he was close chat room and he do that.

 

okay you guys think yahoo do this because of money .is any news that once again open the public chat room.??????

i think that Yahoo permanently shut the chat rooms down due to excessive spam and abuse. .....

 

It's too bad. The chat rooms were fun and a nice break from time to time.

 

It is ashame. I quite miss the old days on Yahoo. Nevertheless we move on I guess to pastures new!

 

I have been trying for years to get people into my chat sites without much success. It just pisses me off that major players in the internet market can take for granted what they have and just switch it off! Then again, maybe it will help the smaller websites, share all the chatters that once used Yahoo chat rooms, although I am yet to see any lol
