why would you use joomla?

I have this site, All-Most.com and someone told me to do it in joomla instead of wordpress, why is that? what is the difference with joomla and wp? what would be a good example for using joomla?

 

One reason: your client. If a client wants something easy to administer, then use Wordpress. If a client wants a community-driven site, use Joomla or Drupal.

 

Hi can anyone explain what is the new features in Joomla when compare with wordpress and also whether joomla is used for blogging or ordinary proffesional site ? because I used wordpress for blogging purpose and I have seen many joomla site for blogging and proffesional..

 

because its easy, free & open

 

With Joomla you look more professional to your clients.... Just use WP for your own stuff...

 

Joomla has better control of publishing articles. I think it has more customized modules/plugins/components than WP.

I just think you can use Joomla to make a website. Where unless you really mod-up Wordpress, you simply have a blog.
