Hello everyone! I am making a little survey, if you could help me a little bit on this. Can you mention a couple of things that would make you join a brand new forum? Thanks... ~Mike
There are three things that would matter to me: topics covered, topics covered, and topics covered. Of course, the above might be enough to get me to join the forum. However, keeping me involved would require a good volume of quality posts from the new members.
topics covered respected users/owners of the forum rate of change of information internet marketing is always changing so there's always new things to discuss I reviewed a site for watering systems today which has a "forum" that is really Q&A. When I need help that forum will be great but I won't need help that often, new products don't come out that often and it's not something I want to kill time discussing. The rate of uptake for those 2 examples will be completely different.
If there is no compelling reason to join a site, I don't waste my time joining. Give me a reason to join a site and I will join in a heartbeat. That said, Facebook seems to have some compelling content, but I have never been able to force myself to join because of their arcane rules which expose me to identity theft. So, if you want me to join, make it EASY and SAFE for me to do so.
