Google gave me A PR 1 for my directoryrevolution.com home page..

all my other pages received a pr of 3 out of the sandbox..

why would this be. All of my incoming links point to the home page.

    anyone have suggestions or tips?

Do your links point to /index.html or the www.domain.com? Check both versions to see if the PR is different.

IF i had to guess, I would say the structure of your site was causing it. Is the PR flowing equally throughout your main sections? Does one of your deeper pages have a bunch of links pointing to it or a high PR link?

yea it does. my internal pages have a higher PR than my home page. Why do you think that is??? what about the structure?

The only reason that you've got a PR of 1, is that you dont have any backlinks in google.

ok thanks!! lets say your right about that. I know I dont have many back links in google. But I have NO back links for my internal pages and they have a pr of 3.

That fact kinda debunks that theory though.

The only thing I can think of is that I was miss ranked possibly because of the big daddy update.

When I check my projected page rank is 4 wich yes I know you really cant predict it but that is a heavily debated topic as well. possibly a new thread. LOL

Well, this update has been strange for many.

On some of my website, which i concentrated hard on link building and SEO barely crawled to 4 and some to 5, but the websites which were completely ignored they easily climbed to 5 and 2 of them even managed a PR of 6.

And, yes i have heard about this internal pages having higher PR issue, many ppl are facing that. PR is still fluctuating, let the dust settle on this update.

The results displayed for the link: command have little to do with PageRank displayed by the foolbar, as Google only displays a random sampling of known backlinks. If no results are listed, it doesn't mean that there are no backlinks for the URL.

In order to have any PageRank (even PR1) there has to be a link or links pointing to the page. If you didn't have any backlinks, you'd have PR0.

I wouldn't worry about it too much bamf. Give it another update cycle and see what comes of it. Sometimes it can take a couple of updates before the toolbar PageRank display seems to balance out.

Yeah, I'd wait it out as well. As long as a lot of your directory has a higher PR, you're still ok.

I am still a PR1 on my directories HP but all internal pages have PR3..

I think I know what it is.. as I was a reciprocal link directory all links pointed back to my hp.. i think I got some pretty ishhy links pointing back to my hp and that has chopped away at my pr leaving me with a PR1..

That is the only explanation I can think of.
