There are a ton of portfolio themes out there. Either Google it, or search Theme Forest.

You are going to have to do that anyway. No one is going to be able to tell what theme is going to be best for your needs. They are all different and have different layouts and options. We can't see into your mind and determine what you are envisioning and we don't know anything about your project to even begin to suggest a layout.

You need to make this decision on your own. If you don't have the time to do something as simple as this , what makes you think you think you will have time to do all of the other things needed to make a site successful? It is very time consuming.

Its better to create a theme by yourself than searching for a wordpress theme, if you want to really purchase a theme you need to compromise on the flexibility of your blog and business, to exactly match 100% you need to create your own theme, just go to youtube and search for wordpress theme building tutorials.

I agree with the posters above, we can't tell you which theme is best for you because they're all different. If you are really serious about having a successful blog you will need to learn about alot more than just themes for wordpress - it requires a great deal of time learning about themes, plug-ins, SEO, etc. It is a steep learning curve for all you need to know to publish a successful blog or website but it's worth it. Google will be your friend while you're learning - almost every question you have has already been asked, and answered, a thousand times already - do a simple search and you will find loads of useful info, much better than asking in a forum unless your question is particularly advanced, we can't possibly answer such a broad question for you.
