Why won't Alexa take a picture of my site

    It's been like 2 weeks since i requested that the thumbnail image of my site be put up. They haven't done it! I've submitted twice.

    Could it be a problem with them connecting with my site or something similar?
    I have a redirect from sitename.com to www.sitename.com in .htaccess. that's what I was thinking.

    Weird...Usually they update it within 48 hours,it may take 1 week sometimes though.

    Maybe your sight is a ghost - visible to the eye but unable to be captured in an image. :)

    Seriously, it took about a month for Alexa to get a thumbnail of my site after requesting it. Just be patient, they will eventually get around to it.

    yea that happened to me too, but i got really frustrated and then i clicked update thumbnail like 100 times
    then they updated it :D

    It took 1 month for me to update..Just do it once and move on. It will eventually get updated.

    Me too, it took them a month and a half.

    Just keep hitting that "update image" and they will do it eventualy.

    For one of my sites they had an old image up for over 2 months before they got an image of the redesigned site - it seemed to take forever.

    Alexa is moody. Happened to one of my sites and it took more than 3 months for the thumbnail to appear!

    They haven't updated my site thumbnail since last year. I have changed it at least 10 times already, and submitted it over 20 times in the last 6 months.
