Why were you really banned from AdSense

So many people post how they were banned from AdSense
and how they lost all of their money. However, most never say why they
were banned. Instead, they say that they "don't know why."

Honestly, is there even the slightest possibility that those who were
banned did something against AdSense TOS to be so?

I really don't see why Google would go out and randomly begin banning people.
That just doesn't make much sense to me.

    What do you think?

People are clueless most of the times because google does not care to provide them a specific, to-the-point reason for banning them!

Their e-mails are mostly of routine and standard format and leaves much more to be desired, as far as giving out real reason is concerned.
No wonder, you would find many people groping in the dark as to what their actual mistakes were!

    That's a good answer.

I still find it interesting how sites like PerezHilton.Com haven't been banned
from AdSense. He must curse at least once in all of his posts. Lol

I guess the other question would be: Would Google ban someone for no reason?

I don't think so.. In most cases, Google only ban if they have valid reason.

Google would always have a reason, the major one being your sudden rise in revenue....

Google relies heavily on the data and if your income shows a quick rise, they perceive it to be the case of you robbing them, immediately resulting in a kick!

i think sometimes people break google adsense rules without notice, we do not pay much attention to that as we think do not click the ads or encourage anyone to do so is enough.
we used to see people who got banned say i did not click the ads or asked my friends to do so. even so some of your friends may click the ads everyday to help you out, or some bad guys just want you to get banned.
so i think you may get banned:
-people do things wrong include click their own ads or ask their friends to click their ads. they get banned cause they deserve that. so dont do stupid things.
-fraud clicks by others and they do not know, those are good guys and should not be banned and i think google should give another chance but that never happens.you r gone from adsense, then for ever. so we should monitor our account closely and explain anything wrong to google.
-google banned people for no reason. this rarely happen, but we do not know. if you got banned for no reason, get any proof you can to google, and you MAY get your money or account back. lol

I hope you will not get ban but if you will in the future, you will understand what did they mean . Google doesn't give a reason why the account is get banned, they are really treating like s... when it comes to banning the accounts.
It should'nt be to hard write the reason. Maybe they think that all the webmasters must know the rules very well. But if there will be another ad company in the future have a big competion with Google, you can be sure lots of will change and they start to be really kind to their publishers but not NOW

mostly they had illegal stuff, but there are a few cases where Google is in the wrong - mostly on sites that are vocal on criticisms against the company. But majority of non-legitimate cases are click fraud or doing something stupid.

Below is a list of ways people have been banned from AdSense and information on how to avoid it happening to you.
Don’t click on your own ads
Don’t log in to AdSense from a shared computer.
Don’t log in to AdSense from work.
Don’t tell friends and family to click your ads.
    Receiving clicks from Illegal traffic
Do monitor your visitor and AdSense figures

Think you got it right, they banned me about 5-6 years ago right when it was time for them to pay me... Took me almost a year to get to the $100 payout on this one small site I had and as soon as I got within $5 of the payout they banned me... never told me why... just sent form letters and never replied to my requests for info... I had just started advertising my site more in the last month so my adsense started generating a little more... guess it was the TINY spike in income altho it wasn't very much... I just hate the fact that they can arbitrarily decide who and when they will ban without any clarification... their godlike attitude sucks and so do their ethics... on a whim they can just shut you down and erase all your hard work... altho I'm sure they still charge the advertiser for all those adword clicks... just screw you out of your income... Google always wins... but then they create and constantly change the rules to satisfy themselves... and themselves only.

Sorry, but that has to be one of the dumbest things I've read in this forum. Banning someone for no reason is analogous to having someone from Google randomly picking an account and banning it. C'mon, seriously now...

The better question to ask is whether or not the reason for banning someone is legitimate or not (but even legitimacy is subjective).

From what I have gathered the problem seems to be that Google only ban the publisher when it is time to bank out the earnings. Why do they not do it as soon as they detect the issue? Is this just their way to bank the advertising revenue regardless of how the money was raised? It would help if they sent out personal emails to publishers rather than cr@ppy automated responses. Most banned users will be in the wrong, but I highly doubt that they all are.

Im sure there are a fair amount of folks who get banned by simply not understanding fully the TOSs. This does not make them crooks.
