Why weed is not allowed?

    Why weed and other stuff alike are not allowed in almost all the countries in the world while alcohol is allowed? This question came into my mind when I visited dubai and found people so curious about weed over there.

    In the United States, the Alcohol and Tobacco companies pushed to make it illegal back in the 1930's.

    California legalized it. I'm sure other states will too. Just as alcohol & tobacco was banned, weed and gay rights will rise eventually, too.
    It's just illegal because it changes your state of mind slightly.
