Hi, im confused. I just want to know why weaker site is on better position than stronger one. Niche is wedding speech and the keyword is groom wedding speech. The top site in google is http://www.groomweddingspeech.org/ and second http://www.mygroomweddingspeech.com. The first one according to Market Samurai has PR 1, Backlinks to page 24, Backlinks to domain 29 and is full optimized on page - keyword in title, url, desc, head. Site has something like 10-15 links with "groom wedding speach" anchor text. The second page has PR 2, Backlinks to page 366, Backlinks to domain 378 and is also full optimized on page. Site has something over 100 links with "groom wedding speach" anchor text. So why the stronger site is 2nd ? I hope some1 can explain me.
It can be several factors. One is this, in your story you talk about backlinks but the amount doesnt (only) count. What does count is the website that gives the backlink. Is it from the same category, rank, amount of links on the page and so on.. So what might be possible is that your competitor has more quality backlinks then you.
I knew this site is created by George Brown, he's a quite young IM guru, you could check http://www.gsniper1.com as the ranking, high PR backlinking sites are playing much more important role the low PR backlinking sites, so the #1 has 29 backlinks, but if they are all coming from PR4 or 5 or even 6, it's much better that site #2 which has 366 backlinks coming from PR 0, 1 or 2...something like this. You could check their backlinks from Yahoo site explorer. Hope this helps.
there are so many factors when it comes to ranking sites so it could be because of many reasons. u can make a bad site and just make a lot of back links and promote it real well so it will rank higher even tho it might not be as good as other ones. so many factors are associated when it comes to ranking it just could be one of the reasons.
the keywords are in the domain - that's why. .com better too unless it's a BIG difference in quality domain links.
High PR doesn't mean it will also ranked high on SERP rankings. Even PR0 can defeat a PR7 website when it comes to SERP's.
