    I have created a website and most pages are html, but i have tried to incert a php page, every time I try this i get a 403 error, does anyone know what this is?

    PHP is what you make it.
    You are only limited by your imagination.

    It's free, easy to learn, has a built in function for most anything and if it's not there you can easily create it.
    Supported by most all hosts.

    If you can think of it, there is a way to do it with HTML + CSS + JavaScript (AJAX) + PHP + MySql.

    These are all fairly simple languages to learn.

    Most likely your HTML pages use a .html or .htm extension.
    In order for the PHP interpreter to recognize your PHP code, your pages must have a .php extension.
    And your PHP code must be syntax correct in order to be interpreted correctly.
    Also make sure the host you are using supports PHP.

    It is really hard to say what exactly is the problem unless you post your code and the name of the files you are using.

    I have tried it on a few different sites now and always the same error so I think it is probably to do with the fast hosts hosting package I have. Thanks for all the replies though.

    if you want to be a high paid successful programmer than i suggest to stay away from php. try look onto java or something else. its a crowded market for php :p
