    H!,
I want to know why we do Directory Submission?

There are lot of Directories on web.
if we submit our links to directories as Free/Regular Link without reciprocal Link. Then how many chance here to get approve?
    Or
If we submit our links to free directories then only around 30-40 % directories approve our links. But they remove our links after few months.
and remaining 60-70% directory submission work is useless.

If we submit our 0 PR site links to 0 PR directories, and they approve our links on their Directory. There wht is the benefits of them. It is like a blind man found another blind man.

    # High PR website Don't Approve Us, Or if they Approve, then they delete our links after 2-3 months. Then why to submit our links in so many directories?

    ?????????????????????????

    Please answer me

Many guys offer 1000 Directory Submission just for $10 or less, that's not a big money. Why not have a try?

Directories are meant for building oneway links. yes among all your success submissions only 20 to 30% gets approved in general but they remains their for ever (if you have submitted in good and popular sites).

Oneway links are most trustworthy links for Google. So we need directory submission.

The longest running (I think) and best list of directories is Dan's - http://info.vilesilencer.com/.

If you are honestly getting the results that you are posting, you are not being careful who you submit to. Sure, there are some directories being set up simply to garner email addresses or by people who thought running a directory was an easy way to make money. They take time and effort. Some of the more popular ones get so many submissions each day that it often takes weeks or even months for them to get to a new submission. Read some of the posts around here about what makes a good directory and look for those features before you submit and you'll find a better return on your time - that is assuming you have a website that people are willing to add to their directories.

As to why submit to a PR 0 site...every site had to start somewhere. That PR 0 directory might one day become a huge success that sends both traffic and a bit of PR juice. If your only concern is PR, then you probably are wasting your time submitting to directories because you still have more to learn about SEO.

If the site in your signature is the one you are submitting, I suspect a great many directory owners will not approve your submission. The US is cracking down heavily on Torrent sites and other copyright violators. Even before that started, many directories clearly state in their terms of service that they do not accept submissions from sites which clearly violate the copyrights of others.

Directory submission is just one small piece in a larger overall puzzle when it comes to SEO. The most important benefit is traffic and indexing, both of which go hand in hand. If you're looking for back links, or PR, you're looking in the wrong place.

Usually directories have high P like 4,5,6...
So we submit and article to a directory including a link to our site. This gets you a high PR backlink plus some direct visitors to your site too :)

Will directory list your site depends on you.

If you ignore "Submission Guidelines" then good directory will fuck you back
and delete your submission and if you submit your site to AMRAY without
reading and following our Guidelines, blacklist you for good.

So, my advice: if any of you would like to be successful getting listed
in top quality (or for people who don't know better high PR) Directories
then always Read and Follow Submission Guidelines and you won't
have to bitching in every forum about being rejected because you reject
yourselves and not directories editors reject your site.

    :)

I agree with you. Directory submission is a time consuming part also. I seen reciprocal link is always good in comparison of free submission and paid submission is much better than both. I suggest you to submit your site with reciprocal link if you don't want to remove your link after 2 to 3 months from any directories. And i also suggest you to go for High pr directory for submission either reciprocal or paid.

Hmmm all have given Good answers. Mostly we submit websites in directories. It is very beneficial for websites. First of all that process is One way..and manually submission. From directories we get our site listed "Backlinks" + Traffic. Whenever you submit in any directory just read Guidelines, hardly it will take 5 min. Then do your submission they will get approved within their guideline rules.

First try to submit in theme related directories.

Directory submission is the slow process of SEO but effective. kk
