Expressing anger is healthy as long as it is done in an appropriate way. We have to allow ourselves to release anger to avoid carrying it around. Also in many cases anger isn't anger- but pain or frustration. It is also important to understand what you are angry at and deal with the situation that made you angry if you wish to truly get past it.
