Hi Guys, Out of curiosity, why was the software 'Satellite TV For PC' a great seller, when these types of software are available freely on the internet and some can view it in web browsers for free? Thanks, Dim
"Was"? I think it still is. The thing with Clickbank products is that literally all types of information sold on Clickbank is available for free, but because people are lazy to do research and like to get "all-in-one", that's why Clickbank is successful.
because.... we are still promoting it up to now. even though many people say that it's just a trash, you don't really get cable channels on that software btw... yet, but the hype is there. the marketers put more colors on that dull product. i wonder who much are they earning now as a vendor of that software?
plus a lot of, umm, well, "internet-challenged" people wouldn't necessarily know where to look, and/or not trust free software, and/or not feel confident enough to do it without a step by step hold their hand kind of guide
Because so many people promote it and so many people either do not know how (Google illiterate) or are too lazy to figure out how to do it for free. I think this can be said of nearly every single product on CB. While it is nice even the highest quality products contain information that can be got for free if you're willing to put in the effort.
As others have noted, just because something is available for free doesn't mean it can't be sold. If finding the free version requires searching around then people won't do it. But the real reason is that Satellite for PC makes the software look like something more than what it actually is. When you go to the places where you can find such things for free, they won't be marketed like that. That's the real key that's hard for newbies to CB to understand. Marketing is way way way more important to success in the world of CB than is the quality of your product. In fact, the quality of your product has almost no effect on your sales, only somewhat on your refund rate (even then I don't think the correlation is that strong.)
I think the satellite tv on your pc is just one of those ideas that sounds freakin sweet to someone who just has a extremely basic understanding of technology. Satellite TV = great digital picture and sound, but expensive. Internet = Free, put the two together and how can you lose!?!?!? The reality of course is very different, but it is the idea people have going in that makes the product sell. It's an idea that sells itself.
ScoTech. Great point... It sounds great. But is that sort of marketing that much different Coke or Pepsi selling all of this ridiculous imagery of fun, sex, & excitement as if it has anything to do with carbonated sugar water?
