Why was google down today? Most services were down like youtube, gmail, docs etc. Anybody knows the reason? NEWS websites are saying its outage. What is outage?
They forgot to pay their hosting fees.. It seems the error was due to lack of storage space in authentication tools: https://www.theguardian.com/technol...ge-with-gmail-youtube-and-other-services-down
@malky66 That is all what I am also able to find, but its not believeable. A web company like google ran out of web space... Even we people having simple VPS keep monitoring our available space and CPU usage etc. I think they got hacked and they are not telling. Probably a virus which tried to create dump zip file for export consumed the space quickly. Change passwords to be on safe side.
Google was down for 45 minutes due to an authentication system outage. It all happened because of an "internal storage quota issue". *probably caused by hackers p.s.@JEET I changed my password just to be safe
I just thinking about MATRIX movie scene ....... Someone was saying to NEO that i dont know how this machine is working but purifying water/air and supplying to complete human city. Same opinion for this issue ..... Few days before same things were happening with Facebook, Instagram etc. Seems like something taking place ... may be new update or features ....... Currently all things are working fine for me ... so its ok now for me and i think also for all who is using google services
Just think of the millions of dollars that were lost. Some YouTubers will remain depressed for 45 days (1 day for every minute YT was down).
G=Got to be hackers O=Oh no! O=Oh no! G=Got to be hackers L=Lots of hackers E=Enough already! *hackers don't mess with our Google/Youtube!
@Spoiltdiva LOL that' GOOGLE full form is funny! by the way, that's 3 votes for hackers GGL @qwikad.com 1 day for every minute, that cracked me!!!
Spokes person from Google said that on Monday the outage affected the system of the company, which authenticates user's login credentials for many services such as Gmail, Youtube etc. It was internal servers problem, not the issue of a cyberattack.
Google's PR executives are hard at work but the math is sketchy. Two and two makes four, a disruption on users log in credentials is not due to a cyber attack? (hackers)......please!
