Why warrior forum ranked so high ?

Hi, there,

Compared warrior forum and DP.

Warrior Forum has only 436,114 threads; DP has 2,362,568 threads.

But WF alex ranked 138 and Active Users normally more than 20,000 but DP only 2,000.

What makes them so big difference!

Could you please give your opinions ?

Well the first thing I noticed is that Warrior Forums is SEO optimized. Look at their URL structure compared to DP's URL structure. WP's URL structure contains keywords. Perhaps that is why they rank higher?

May be warrior forum has lots of back links when compared to Digitalpoint? Warrior forum could also be viral because good things are always hidden just like digitalpoint.

If someone asks me where you get all the information about websites i would say warrior forum because i am not always active on it and all the information there is rewritten.

But i try to hide the good forum like digitalpoint because i do not want much of people know about it

The WarriorForum has a huge audience consisting of mainly IM newbies, but who rarely participate into discussions. It is like a place where "guru's" and experienced marketers talk and post their products, and a huge number of newbies listen. DP, on the other hand is more about the spirit of everyone discussing.
Also, WSOs, which have by far the widest audience on the WarriorForum, usually gain a lot more hype than DP offers (partly because of the advanced affiliate system third-party WF services provide).

 

If search "SEO forum", WarriorForum is in before DP; but search "webmaster forums", DP is much before WF.

Why donot newbies come to DP ?

 

WarriorForum is a paid membership. Their members stay active because they paid for it. DP is free and allows anyone to create an account and post. So you get a lot of noobs asking one question and never returning to the forum. Thats why we have lots of threads but not as many active users. With Warrior you have lots of active users that don't ask a lot of the noob questions. The problem I have with Warrior is that thier forums don't seem as organized.

 

I second this fact, they are doing well due to their URL structure.

 

To become a Warrior you have to pay for it. DP you don't pay anything. I joined and paid the fee. I log on to Warrior everyday to find quality posts.

 

It's probably the WSO's that seems to be their competitive advantage, or at least one of em.

 

Warrior Forum is mainly about WSO selling, The majority of info there is of low quality.

 

The difference is coming from the branding positioning. Warriorforum focuses on marketing while Digitalpoint point covers broad topic from religion dabate to affiliate marketing. The unique about Warriorforum is the number of affiliate marketers and marketing gurus. I guess it is bigger compare to DP

I would say they have a better traffic and targeted ( USA, CA, AU ).

 

I feel is because of the backlinks. They have many active warrior there.
Many people have been encourage to go to warrior forum.
Although I am new in DP. But I like here more because members here are more friendly than warrior forum members.

 

Here are a couple of personal observations

1. WF has better moderation of posts. For example: Yesterday I was here and on the "General Marketing" forum and there were 8 threads, all basically the same, asking about how to get traffic. That would rarely happen at the WF.

2. WF has better sub-forums, this is, for me, a big plus when trying to find information on a specific topic whereas at DP most topics are crammed in the "General Business" or "General Marketing" Forums
