When you can use googles adword keyword tool? After all, we want to know how much people search for a term in google. Overture have been a little dissapointment sofar(Instead of 1000 hits a day from a 1st placement on google, I get 50 etc). How relieable is the adword tool? URL:https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox
I don't put a lot of stock in any of them individually, but if all three of them are in somewhat close agreement with one another it gives me a lot confidence that I will get the expected results. In some of the areas that I track I would rate them: 1) wordtracker 2) adwords 3) overture in terms of accuracy. Of course, your results may vary.
Google sandbox tool is good for AdWords, but it doesn't show you number of searches. I wouldn't use overture data to predict anything in AdWords...2 completely different engines with different markets. Google as of February 2006 has 47% market share vs. Yahoo's 13%...Overture data comes from Yahoo's searches (like, ur teenage daughter) However, since Google's "bar graph" traffic estimators do not give you hard numbers, you can use Overture data to compare keyword popularity (or WordTraker or Keyword Discovery etc) from one keyword to another. The sampling is broad enough to get an idea of popularity, but it's not accurate or reflective of the true Google user. It's the best we've got right now...but there are very successful AdWords players who don't use any keyword research tools other than Google's. (Tools, not methods...there *are* other methods of keyword research).
Yeah, sorry I gave a non-valid link. My mistake. Simply register in an adword campaign, choose your keywords and volá. You can see the number of searches for every keyword before you a campaign. Now that's what I call relieable.
