why not try? Why is it so annoying to try new things, why believe you're always the underdog? I cannot imagine how someone would be successful with that mindset.

I only use google or yahoo. They are fast and reliable. I just dont see the point in using the other ones.
Why use OTHER search engines? Because I get a lot of traffic from OTHER search engines, and I like variety. You dont just shop at one place all the time do you? That would be boring.
maybe because of curiosity or finding out that there are other SE's that can be helpful to their needs!
good point..they use google because this is popular and they don't know the other search engines..sometimes i use ask.com..i don't know what happen to MSN...it seems like its not working for me...

I think people usually look for other search engine while their initial searches fail or they need different types of searches digging other search engine.

Do you own mysearch? All these scripts that pull results from other search engines aren't really search engines you know. They're merely rehasing results. A real search engine has its own database, does its own crawling and organises the results themselves. Its looks like this simply pulls its results from somewhere else. So why use it? Why not just use the source? Its like the "blogs" that pull content from everywhere else. Very few people actually use them.
