I see a lot of people using feedburner. What is the advantage of using feedburner?

Right now on my webiste, I've got a series of icons so that people can add my feed www.domain.com/feed to their favorite RSS reader, but I'm wondering if I should change over to feedburner?

    Thank you

The number one reason is for the stats - you'd get to see how many ppl are reading your site via your feed, and through what kind of feed reader. Having these kind of stats is good for monetization purposes later on.

A minor reason is the saving on bandwidth. Your RSS subscribers would actually get the feed from FeedBurner, rather than where you host your site.

If you are using Wordpress, there's a plugin which will help you switch over seamlessly without losing any of your current subscribers.

Yep, good stats, and they let you display a nice chicklet on your blog showing off your subscriber count!

The bandwidth used isn't an issue. In the years that I've been blogging, I've yet to hear this for a reason by anyone until now.

People use feedburner because it has become the industry standard. It allows them to get stats and control the content and subscriptions of their feeds.

feedburner is the way to go, it offers a professional alternative to RSS. It covers a lot of rss feeders and the stats it provides are very usefull.
