Example: I search for keyword dog in google. There is a url listed whitedogcity.com in the google organic results, I clicked on whitedogcity.com title in google results, and it auto redirect me to another site cutedogsky.com Does google allows showing different url in organic results? I thought the url displayed in organic search results should match the url that you will land, if I click whitedogcity.com I should land at whitedogcity.com Thanks
They might be affiliate links which are usually put as ads using PPC-Pay Per Click. So, you search for a term -> Google shows results -> You check the ads and see something relevant and Click on it -> The site you clicked for redirects you to affiliate site which gives information and also asks you to give your email address, zip or purchase some important info which will help your pets.
it's the way of every search engine to show original URL's in search for user to see what site they are going to click and actual link in source code generated by google script to see particular visitor and clicks flow so they can improve search more. it could be for some other reasons that google don't wanna share with us..
