why URL friendly?

Why it is important to run a site which is URL friendly?

I heard that Google can easily index dynamic php sites without any problem? I run a site which at present is only dynamic? Should i go for mod-rewrite ?

Let say your php page for a lawn tractor is like this :

http://www.domain.com/index.php?id=12345&module=3214

Google will index it, but when a user search Lawn tractor kubota, google wont find the page.

Now, with a friendly url, it will be rewritten to:

http://www.domain.com/lawn/tractor/kubota.html

When a user google lawn tractor kubota, there is a good chance google will report you url.
