The best of domain names are the keywords you want to promote, so to get relatively high weights

    Hi
I have a domain name without the www as I set it up as a subdomain of my main site. This sub domain is an ecommerce site and Google ranks this as if it is any other site and I am getting more and more free traffic through the search engines so that's not a problem.
However I would like to know if you lot think not having a www actually puts off customers? Do they see it as a spammy site maybe or untrustworthy? I have built many links to the site already and really dont want to change the site over but im also concerned as it's a long url - (http)://tackleshop.carp-on.(com). sorry had to put brackets a sunable to post links yet....Do you think I should buy a shorter domain with a www. and redirect to the subdomain?

    Thanks

A keyword rich domain name is good enough! But that chance is rare though.

Use www. Re-direct or 301 re-direct, but assure that only one exist.
