Why Twitter is Better Than Facebook ???

I think the first statement is true.

 

Twitter is simple to use and every updates are viewable by the people in a very simple way but Im still loving facebook though.. cos they have lots of applications which I enjoy.

 

Personally I am not impressed by Twitter, maybe I am not grownup so do not kick me hard for it, but the service useless unless some emergency is going on around and masses need to get info right from the epicenter.

 

Hi I have 2 twitter accounts and one has about 2k followers. I post updates to it through ping.fm which also posts to my business account Facebook, a Blogger blog, FriendFeed, Linkedin and sone other. I even manually post to twitter and try to reply to peoples posts but it has never brought as much traffic as the people who sell those packages that promise you can make money on twitter bring. Twitter can't be compared to Facebook though really. Facebook is much more personable than Twitter where it's mostly marketers promoting their websites. Okay some people do use it for family and friends and for other updates. It's definitely a very useful sites with all it's API's but Facebook has IM and photos and games etc. But I hear Twitter are are facing some competition now with Yahoo's hush hush new micro-blogging product, Yahoo Meme or something. you will get more traffic when you target and follow the right person who would like to read your blogs and blah blahs
Twitter is special and simple than fb as it has more advantage than the crappy things sticking to fb
Twitter's growth shows how powerful the site is...
its not just micro blogging or a social entertainment network it is for real time news , business , knowledge on everything...

 

I don't think your question is fair. For a couple of reasons

1.) Twitter and facebook are to entirely diffrent. This would be comparing apples to oranges for the best apple.

2.) You don't have a selection where you can choose facebook this makes you bias.

There are other reasons but this is really a waste of my time answering ( just trying to kill a few seconds of my life )

Wellll..if you want to get technical, FaceBook > Twitter because Facebook has a Twitter app in it's app-market so Facebook is, inadvertedly, both things.

 

@Bohra's You know actually Facebook copied the business model of Twitter by adding real time search and updates .

 

Looking at it from a SEO perspective, Facebook has more links, about 453 million and Twitter absolutely catching up with 372 Million. Twitter SEMRush value is 18M and Facebook is 34M but then Facebook has been going since 1998.

I agree with the majority, Twitter is better for it's function but overall Facebook is a more complete package as far SM goes.

 

This is not the same thing Twitter is a Micro Blog and Facebook is a Mini Blog!
Twitter is better because the users have to do less efforts to write something. For young people, writing is sometime very difficult! They prefer Twitter for this reason but they don't want to say it like this: "I like Twitter because I'm a bit illiterate" ;-) This also a question of generation, more you have to say and more you will prefer Facebook.

 

Has anyone try using the group section on facebook to promote stuff because if plp can excute that perfectly would be better than twitter. But twitter is pretty good too if you know how to use it properly

 

I think that's an error. Facebook didn't exist in 1998. It was started in 2003 as "Facemash", and was later renamed to The Facebook.
