Why These Websites Don't Rank In Google?

I have a network of 200 sites, and they dont seem to be performing very well in Google. I am tracking the rankings, and only about 10 - 15 of them shows up on the first 100 pages of serps in Google. It is a network of Wordpress blogs, with a list of links to all other blogs, which is placed in an iframe in sidebar.php, and blocked by robots.txt, so theoreticaly that does not get indexed etc. We add quite a lot of two sentence posts with a picture to the blogs also. There dont seem too be a fresh content boost in rankings or anything like that. It just seems like the websites would be "dead" in the eyes of Google, and they just dont perform very well.

Sitemaps are added to Google Webmaster tools, we use Yoast SEO plugin, categories are based on keyword research, we try to avoid keyword stuffing, and everything with on site seo is ok. The websites are about 6 months old, and receive about 4,000 of traffic (across all 200 sites) a day. Something just aint right with this, I think, and I am not sure what's going on.

Is there any way to check whats going on?

    Thank you.

I think your sites' quality maybe are not very good... Do you update original articles on schedule ? Do you have add many obls to them? I think your sites are used for link sale, right ??

They have not been updated on schedule for a while, but I am not sure whether it would make a difference. For example, I added about 20 posts to one of the blogs (based on keyword research), and the Google does not seem to respond to this at all (I know it might be hard to notice that directly etc, but I've been watching all the sites for over 4 months and that's how it works).

I think that SEO competition is high for most of the domain name keywords (some of them popped up to the first place USA right away, and tend to be within the first 10 - 20, I thing), but it just looks like there would be something preventing them from doing well in Google overall. We changed the nofollow links to all other blogs on the sidebar to an iframe blocked by robots.txt, I deleted quite a lot of keywors a while ago too (I though we were getting penalized for keyword stuffing), but nothing seems to be making a difference at all.

The website would penalized by Google or they don't fall under requirement of Google. The quality of the website and the back links may not be good enough.
