Why there is so little yahoo search vs google search

    My blog was started four months ago and now got goolge PR5 with a daily google searches of ca 150, but there are less than 5 yahoo searches. I thought google has a search market of ca 70% and yahoo ca 20%. I should get more searches from yahoo and other search engines. The search results from google is over 90% in my case. Can someone help me on this? How should I fix this problem?

    Thanks very much in advance!

    I've never gotten much traffic from Yahoo, and even less from MSN.. i always assumed it was because nobody uses them for searching anymore, but others say they get loads of traffic from Yahoo..

    It's nothing you can really fix, seems to be a pretty normal ratio. In general, my yahoo traffic is best for sites that don't perform that well in google...

    I never use google to search, I guess I'm one of the old timers that got used to using yahoo and got stuck there.

    I typically get 90-95% of my search engine traffic from google, barely anything from yahoo or msn.

    I use google most of the time, but yahoo is good at finance news and stock etc. Since I still have quite a bit coverage on business, stock market, I feel it is quite strange not to have much from yahoo. Let's say this way, since google is only ca 70% of search market share. If the website/blog can be optimized to get the additional 30% search market share, the traffic should be increased by 30/70=43%!

    I get probably 8000 searches from google a day, and maybe 100 from yahoo. I get more from MSN than yahoo. It doesn't make sense since MSN has far less market share. I'd love to increase yahoo, but not sure how to. Haven't really had time to optimize keywords and SEO, etc, mainly just focusing on my websites.

    Google indexes more pages. That can be the reason. Why care anyway? Google is the king of all Search Engines. :)

    Google is the best search engine on the net, there are many people who will not consider
    using a different search engine.

    People associate Google with search, people associate Yahoo with internet portal.

    Ideally, you can create sites really easily that rank well in Yahoo, and completely different sites for Google. In fact, they can be the exact same site, and google will ignore as a duplicate. Keyword stuff it, and it will show up well in Yahoo/MSN.
