I guess you don't see the WU option for new accounts.

Further, G has introduced a new way of collecting your checks. It is stated below:

As we roll into a brand new financial year in India, we're happy to let publishers located in India know that all standard checks will be sent via the Blue Dart courier service at no additional cost. Because Blue Dart is the Indian domestic carrier for DHL, you'll no longer have to pay expensive courier fees.

In addition, please be aware that you'll no longer see Secure Checks as a payment option in India. For more information on Indian payment methods, visit our Help Center

Blame it all on RBI.... RBI imposes a limit on influx and outflux of money. The reason why we dont have WU or Direct Deposit is all because of RBI.

And they are probably trying to get a handle of the enormous amount of click fraud coming from that country and insure that they are not paying people who have violated TOS.

Western Union does not offer any accountability of payments and no recourse for legal proceedings should it be necessary

Anyone with a fake ID can pick up a Western Union from anywhere in the world..
I certainly wouldn't pay people with it.
