Why there is huge different between google and yahoo keyword ranking?

In some keyword my blog is on 1st page in yahoo but not in top 100 in google??
so please help me why there are so much difference. And also help me on how can i promote my site in google?

 

They don't share the same technology.

 

Google's ranking methodology is different from Yahoo. As to how you can promote your site on Google, you can try searching in Search Engine Optimization forum here at DP. You will surely find a lot of techniques there.

 

Hi .. when I compare my traffic from both sites yahoo and google then there is a huge difference so every one is targetting on google so no one wants to get first page ranking in yahoo. even I try to get first page ranking for google and it automatically comes at good position in yahoo...

 

There is a difference between the algorithms of both. That is why, rankings are different on both the search engines. Google consider only quality back links. So, to get high spot in Google you need more quality back links.

Compare to traffic from google, yahoo, then get more traffic is from google, most of users are search on google only.
