why there is difference between us?

Looks like we found out one of the differences. Muslims don't like free speech and want to violently punish it if they don't agree with it.

 

I'd like to hear the other Muslims weigh in on the same issue. How do you guys feel about the blasphemy law and should someone who criticizes Islam be put to death?

That is a daily occurrence in free countries. People speak out against religions, religious leaders, political leaders, people they don't like in business, people they don't like on television, and people they just don't like. The people spoken out against are free to respond however they like, but advocating violence on either side is punishable by law. In other words, most of your beloved Muslim leaders could be arrested for the type of activities they promote. I notice you didn't weigh in on the Saudi woman who spoke out against the Mullahs on X-Factor, but your statements here make your opinion on the matter pretty clear.


In other news, did you hear they just arrested someone in Pakistan and are extraditing him to the US to face trial in the plot to blow up a US subway system, along with several US Muslims(Zazi) who flew to Pakistan for terror training? If they are guilty of what they are charged with, what do you think should be done to them?

 

ya ofcourse they hve arrested them n punished them 4 there mistakes,and any1 who s guilty 4 there mistakes they cant be ignored.just see DR afia who has been arrested n 2003 hve u hurt bout her she also was arrested 4 her mistake but hve u everseen how much she is been mistreated by the police out there,many yrs pasted but still she s nt released y?my bro just tell wat shuld be done bout that,wat u thnk bout it?

2) If there had not been such a high demand for intelligence gathering, Dr. Afia would have been shot in the battlefield like any other criminal who points and discharges a firearm at the police. She should be thankful she is still alive.

i can only say to you - little is the number of people who truly believe in thier faith, who dont see it as tradition, and even some of those who go to temple / church / misque are not true believers, but go just coz of tradition, or coz people would think bad of them if they dont go.

The problem is with inadequate bully men of all religions (ie not ALL men). Perhaps it was different in pre-history in matriarchal societies but that's difficult to prove.

People have a right to say what they want. I can tune in and I can tune out.

And yes to that as well. A lot of politicians claim Christianity out of convenience. Doesn't mean they are Christians.

How can you tell that someone believes? Not easy to do.
