I found five more hostnames which not belongs to myself appear in the report under Visitors -> Network Properties -> Hostnames. They are: get.free-insurance-quotes.eu, 72.14.235.132, bbq.analytic01.sfx.adbrite.com, proximize.me, webwarper.net. Why they are tracked? Is there any harm to my website? By the way, I used web proxy visiting my sites once.
I don't think this is anything to worry about. It's good to be concerned about your website. Let me explain what I think there are. 1. get.free-insurance-quotes.eu It is a crap spam site. They do have Google AdSense Insurance ads at the top of there page, and if someone clicked on one of them and you have a Google AdSence account that is how that site would show up on your analytics page. 2. 72.14.235.132 This is a Google IP. Nothing to worry about. If you put this IP in your browser bar it goes to Google. 3. bbq.analytic01.sfx.adbrite.com is http://www.adbrite.com/ If you have a ad campaign with them this is how that would appear on your page. 4. proximize.me You cleared that one up. 5. webwarper.net is a tool people install on the browser that scans the website for viruses and stuff. It can also hide the viewer visits to sites, and could explain how that one shows up.
But my adsense was banned on Monday this week, and yestoday I found my adbrite was invalid. Adbrite support feedback that they found some invalid clicks on 3/26/2009. It was exactly the day 'get.free-insurance-quotes.eu' appeared in my hostname list of analytics. Actually, I used adbrite just about two days, only got $0.32. I feel so puzzle about so much invalid data. I want to find out who destroyed my website. I need to provide some convincing proofs to get my adbrite account back.
