Why The Inflation on Domains?

I recently went to go purchase 2 domains to find the price has gone up a few dollars and for no good reason!

Can anyone tell me why the price has gone up and what place i can register domains for much cheaper. I am annoyed.

What registrar are you trying to buy the domains from? I know that the coupon for 6.95 domains at Godaddy still works.

Thanks for the code.. this is what confuses me:

so there was a .42 increase in the fees so domain companies raise for 6.95 to 9.99 ? I'm not sure i understand this logic.

So they can make more money.

 

They've only gone up like 35 cents haven't they? That's not enough to cry over

 

I'm guessing that the drop of USD has something to do with this.
