Just got an email from this person -

claiming to be a representative from dp. Total OTT spam, and might need to be banned ;)

Not sure about user id - but have the email. Hope that is enough to stop this lunatic.

    Who's it from?

And it's from the Email Form from DP? That should even list the members name...

Open your userCP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > uncheck the Receive Email from Other Members box.

EDIT: On the other hand, if a person sent out random emails to any SEO/Webmaster name they could find, what would the chances be that the person getting the message would be a DP member? The email you got it from IS the email you registered here with...right?

It was sent to the e-mail address I used to register but I do not have the receive email from other members box checked. I know this has been discussed a few times.

Dude, I get these every day

Dp was mined about two months ago before Shawn changed the forms,

Just label it as spam and move on,

Chances are the miner wasn't a member

Yes, I got this as well from the member email4m. And for reference, I do not have "Receive email from other members" checked.

There's no need to start a thread about it. I started a thread too when I recived one, but it didn't really help. Just disable the receive emails from members feature and you'll be fine. :)

Although it is technically possible that DP has been hacked, i doubt it. A forum such a size is a target, but with the size, there is also security.
