I started my new site at start of October, used Google sitemaps, everything went great, all pages indexed within a week, decen SERPS. I now check my pages on Google and only 6 are now indexed??
Voodoo. Without URLs there's nothing to say but speculation. How do you possibly expect us to come with an answer? there's about a thousand possible reasons.
Well what details do you want? Be more specific, if I knew what could be causing it I'd go through them myself.
LOL so I need to be more specific? Tell us what you have done, on page, off page, PR, link building etc. BTW you can post adult URLs if you mark them as such so no one gets there by accident.
Yes, you asked for details and didnt say what details. The site is new, I submitted sitemap for it and all pages indexed but now they arent, the site has galleries on it basically, they dont get updated as galleries dont need updating but the main page is updated...As for off page I have got link trades and some PR4/PR5 non reprocial (sp) backlinks too, no PR yet as there hasnt been a pr update since I opened it.
Sounds like it's not worth being in Google's index then. If you only have galleries and no textual content for Google to consume and no significant amounts of links pointed to it then there's no reason you deserve to be in the index in the first place.
The galleries have text on them, I was ranked in top 2 pages for ALL my keywords before they went out.
New sites often see a boost - if it then isn't followed by a steady stream of links they get dropped. It's their way of making sure news can rank fast but spam sites don't stay. Get more links and in 4 - 10 months you'll be back.
How is it possible to get steady stream of links in to about 40 galleries? I link exchange on my main page to get steady links in to the main page at regular intervals. And my site isnt spam.
If you point all links to the homepage you will probably need better internal navigation so Google can find its way around. Try deeplinking as well though.
