I have heard a few folks talking about advertisers losing or dropping campaigns towards the end of the months, etc. I have noticed the following on all my sites, from the 28th or so of each month, until around the 2nd or 3rd of the next month, my ECM and EPC plummets. How does the end of the month effect advertiser campaigns ? I have had two campaigns running in two PPC engines for a few months, none run out at the end of the month etc, they go until funds are depleted then auto renew, etc. I don't understand how ads run out, etc, could someone explain this please, and none of you new creeps, I want some old timers that have been in this stuff for a long time............. not someone with 5 posts
Is it because its time for google or ypn to adjust their monthly payment? That is why they need to have total control over the money at this time and make a myth about the drop in epc at the end of the month because of advertisers running out of money. I used to be a advertiser myself but didn't find myself running out of money every month. But maybe for those large companies, this theory doesn;t apply. Just my 2 cents.
I am actually having the same "problem" if you want to call it. Right near the the end of the month my cpm drops like crazy, which is when I lose about 25%, and trust me, that drop does hurt my pocket considering the fact that I make almost $X,XXX a day of my earnings. Then about a day or two of the next month, it goes up again. Not much you can do, it's just the way it is.
