    I am really confused over this , Yahoo shows more than 100 links for my site but Google shows just 7.

    Might be something as simple as the linking sites are not listed on google. A quick google search will verify this for u.

    Yahoo has the fastest indexing of backlinks in its Site Explorer. Google is a bit lazy in recording backlinks ... thats the only difference between the 2 IMHO.

    There could be other reasons, maybe the spiders haven't got the links yet. Wait for some time, maybe that will help!

    Google's criteria for counting back link is too hard than any other search engine. Yahoo and bing search engines count all the back link of your site like nofollow, your link is on more OBL page then also counted. Google see quality of you link where it lies.

    So that google will display you only few links that are crawled by their spider.
