Why sometimes $2 per click while sometimes only $0.01?

I put adsense on my 2-month-old blog 40 days ago and have earned $15 till now, I found several clicks were at a high price($1 - $2), but some clicks were total lowest($0.01), its that usual? How can I improve the unit price....

Besides, I found the price of images format ads are extremely low, no more than $0.1 per click!

Unit price is what Adwords bidders have put in, so it will depend on what ad is showing as to how much you will receive. Hence the variation

So... how can I find which keywords are at high price and which are the lower? My blog is something about 'car news/auto news'

Why not just stick with blogging about something you are interested in (cars) and try and increase your traffic as opposed to targeting certain keywords just for money.

I get 100 unique visits a day, its a hard work for me in these 2 months, I'm always dream of getting 1000 or more visits per day in short times, but it seems not that easy.

    That is good advice.
I am in the same boat as you, a young blog and just learning.
I have found it to be more difficult than I thought, but it has been rewarding learning all the new skills.
I too are getting 100 unique visitors a day and hope for more in the future.

    Good luck to you.

My opinion is first you should do a good keyword research and select the high paying keywords belongs to your niche. Then properly implement the keywords in your site. After few days you'll notice a considerable improvement of your earning.

Maybe you are being affected by smart pricing. This is a technique by advertisers when they feel that the ad clicks are not really that authentic, which means mere clicks but no intention to buy. If most of your traffic is coming from social sites, it is hardly believable that they will be converted into sales.

Are you now getting tons of search engine traffic or almost nothing from them yet?

3 months is a bit narrow timeframe to measure anything related.

It took me almost a year for a travel portal to get 200 uniques a day 90% from search engines traffic.

I would say that things started to pick up after 6 months.

Smartpricing is an urban legend IMHO. Because in a day i get 0.01c clicks, 0.10c clicks, 0.40c clicks. Also my account has 3 websites, and in one of them i NEVER see any click lower than .30c (good niche i guess).

.01c clicks is i think from low beting in adwords and advertisers.

i think it depends on what ads are clicked. each ads has a price assigned by the adwords owner. there are clicks that are $0.01 and there are clicks that cost more the $5 so it really depends..
