Hey! while everyone is disagreeing with your point, i am with you 100%. To explain or rather elaborate what you meant, people wont click on your ads even if they are relevant. One of the reason is, they now you will earn if they click..what they do is, they simply write down the website and vist without actually having to click....its all about the feeling 'i am helping him make money'....i have done a survey on this and found out that...most web savvy people wont click on you ards ...they would rather copy the website on a paper and write it on the firefox and browse...too bad..

Most people click on ads with our knowing that they are ads.How ever I agree that there are few pople who click on ads knowing that they are ads.Their intension is to get some information from the website they are visiting
Webmaster seldom click on the ads. From my experience, hobby related niche is easy to get click from search engine traffic. Other niche can get good click from related forum and yahoo answer Webmaster niche is getting less click compare to other niche
Here at Philippines, honestly We are given first impression that clicking and following ads' link wil lead to virus, porn, etc. Hope this will change soon.
another ad that would get hits are those freebie ads everyone wants a freebie. Those frekin clicks are those penny clicks that alot of people complain about. But when it comes down to it those freebie clicks that people hit once they give them there email thats a never ending spam collector. Now the only way to earn something with those ads when they come to your site and see a ad thats is so blended in it looks like the menu bar they get clicked thinking its a part of the site. I get those hits on my other site but the other ads on the site never get clicked.
I would say people who are in desperate need of something will click on ads. Say if someone is broke and searching for a way out he would try every option available. He will read the whole content click all ads and explore. The same goes for people desperate to lose weight, earn money (newbie's) and so on.
