Why some people needs URGENT DIGGS ?

I always have one doubt regarding this :

Why some people wants URGENT Diggs or may be Stumble upon too ?

Whats the reason for urgency

 

So that they can reach first page perhaps...

 

Hmm ... hoping to get more organic Traffic I guess...

 

Well this can transfer good traffic to your websites and more people visit your site.

 

so none of you know how digg works, huh

It is fun to see people doing stuff so blindly

 

I know Digg is meant to get traffic..

But why some people needs it done URGENTLY

 

digg brings in alot of traffic which is always a good thing

 

Time is a important factor to get promote on Digg. If you fail to get your story promoted in 24 hours, most likely it will never get on front page. It usually takes less digg for a page to be promoted if the digg came in fast. (there is no threshold on the number of digg to get promoted. They have a algo that take factor like time, # of digg, authority of those who digg)

There are three way to get a digg (i can't think of more right now)

Click on a link to the digg page (carry the lowest power IMO)

click the digg button on a webpage

people found the story in the digg's upcoming page (the nature way and it carry the most weight)

When you submit a story, it show up at the top of the upcoming page. When a new story is submitted, you got push down one spot. If you got 1 digg, you will go up one spot. In order to stay in the first page, you need to get digg constantly.
