Why social bookmarking sites better than web directories

I am addicted to social bookmarking sites now and stopped using web directories. There are several reasons I think social bookmarking sites are better than free web directories.

1. social bookmarking sites approve your web site, pages, immediately.
2. you can submit any inner page to social bookmarking sites.
3. web directories take time to approve but no guanrantee.

I think my web site, new pages get indexed on search engines faster when I submit them to social bookmarking sites.

Of course, google love soc bookmarking. + it can give you traffic

 

Both of them has a different in benefits for SEO purpose, cannot even compared though.

Social Bookmark - If your content has some quality and not a duplicated, then you can use social bookmark submission to drive a traffics and gain some link popularity. However, this is a short terms of traffics and link and cannot be rely on with solely.

Web Directory - You will not get mcuh traffics, even zero from most directories. The real benefits of directory submission is backlink to increase your SERPs for certain keywords. This is a long term link building and take times to reap the benefits. I am saying this based on quality and authoritative directories only.

 

Social bookmarking site also helpful for ranking in search engines.

 

Social bookmarking is great, I use it for my articles as well as for my inner pages.

 

I absolutely agree and I have been shifting a lof of my focus onto Social Media and I think it if time well spent.

I try also to add to some of the main directories. Some of them are very good but social media for me gets the nod.

 

Right, social bookmarking is really helpful for deep linking purpose and it is better we could also use tags as anchors of our targeted keywords.
