Hello, About 10/20 DP members Avatars are saying "GOOGLE KILLER":- Why everyone love that avatar? They put it because they hate google or whats the reason? JUST WONDERING Thanks
Obscurity is what made techies love google early on, or at least part of the reason why. Now that they are big and popular, and basically have a license to print money, that appeal is gone. Now they suffer from the same syndrome that makes Microsoft viewed as being evil. Still, I use them for 99.9% of my searches, and I bet most of the google killers do to.
I was just ... a bit curious ... what will happen if google were to infiltrate some blogs in that network ?
Google wouldn't attempt to infiltrate the "hive" of goodies that we "gk'ers" have endured to keep so close to the vest. Let em sweat is the motto!!!
the funny thing is that the site running the promotion dont actually rank anywhere for the phrase "google killer" which kind of defeats the object of creating all this buzz.
This is funny. As I was driving to work this morning I was thinking to myself that I gotta find out what these google killer avatars on DP are all about. Now I log on and the first thread in General Chat is this one. Up until a few days ago I used to not pay attention to screen names, only avatars, so I always though all the posts with google killer avvys were by the same person .
Put some blogs in the network Nevermind I was just thinking how they will react (already read Cutts' reaction) and what they can do about it and typed it in.
