Instead of simple website launching why should i pay wordpress for site mapping? Does using wordpress effect SEO or any other aspect of my website?

In our experience, using word press for sites, and blogs has really helped the site getting ranked highly in Google. We have lot's of first page rankings (National) on 3 and 4 word keywords that frankly, where unintentional. One of our blog consistently our ranks the main domain site on keywords, even though it has far less domain authority. I for one an=m completely sold on word press!

I don't really think it will effect any SEO, its just the same. Yeah it would be better in terms of hosting because their hosting will be optimized according to wordpress and this will be fast and reliable.

I am not sure if I understand correctly your post. I am not sure in which scenario one should pay wordpress.org.
Wordpress.com however is brought by some guys at wordpress.org, which is open source, free and must be hosted somewhere.
I would always go for Wordpress.org as it gives you the ability to work with personalized themes and plugins. If you have the technical ability to install this software and mantain it go for it. However, if you are not interested in dealing with those details and can afford the premium prices wordpress.com charges for addons, they are very reliable.

When I change to .org after 1 year of my site being on .com my traffic doubled over night.

Make the change, it's well worth it
