Do you know for sure exactly why he was red carded? For stamping? For pushing? Foul language? Because the ref is an Argentine that amazingly hates the Brits? Because Cristiano Ronaldo told him to send Rooney off? It's not a poll, please help me understand...
I don't think in football this does happen. There might be some deep reason for Rooney to be sent out.
Foul language? Yes, I guess so. The red card wasn't pulled at first place but first after Roony complained. Apart from that issue I think the judge was fair. However.. I think England deserved to win this.. they was better than Portugal with just 10 players. Don't know how England could loose against Belarus with 0-2 tough
Think it's because he just talks to much and have an attitude-problem. But ok.. England hasn't been playing great football this year, so... I guess it's time to kick the swedish dude out in the cold. From a outside of England view - why have England been keeping him as a trainer for so long. Eriksson hasn't done anything right, never!
absolutely ... Portugal again proved that you can win if you are oscar winner in diving ..... England should win this one but that is sport .... I was really for them this time but hey all my teams lost
Rooney got kicked out because he kicked that guy on the ground in the nuts Seriously didn't nobody see this? He was struggling between two defenders (Very well i might ad, he is a true fighter) but then in the end he got frustrated and planted his foot in the guy's family jewels. And the referee stood right beside it and saw it happen in front of him.
Right, but apparently it didn't hurt that much. Ricardo Carvalho was up and running in a matter of seconds, so the ref was deceived if that's the reason... Anyway, watching the match from the US and listening and talking with Americans, I kind of understand now why the sport isn't that popular here, that is because they go watch wrestling if they want to see divers and fakers. Check this link No more room for English players at a game ike that unless they adapt and I don't want that, do you?
Well that was the reason. I just saw it yesterday again in a rerun. Not hurting much is not the issue at hand, the issue at hand is that a action of violence is deliberately being made. That is unacceptable. The pushing was just icing on the cake. The States will always favor Basketball, American Football and Baseball over Soccer always has been and always will I think it's part of growing up with the sports you play as a kid that makes one appreciate the game. I'm not a big or devoted fan of regular regional soccer but when my country is playing i feel the tention and excitement of wanting my country to perform well.
