Hi guys, My site is http://www.ancientpeaks.com which having a first page ranking for keywords like quality wine, the great wine, purchase best wine and many other keywords. But suddently when i check today, these all first page ranking disappear and not even first 10 page. pls. help me what seo activity i start so it will come back at first page again.
multiple reasons 1. http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://www.ancientpeaks.com/ clean up mess and correct all errors including your fatal errors 2. keep in mind that your domain name has NO keyword hence the more competition in wine the less likely you get into top 10 3. top 1 page that is ancient history never enjoy such results once achieved - keep on improving and working!!! competition gets jealous and works harder and better while you enjoy your first page ... and suddenly dozens or hundreds of competing wine sites are better than you and some even have site name with keyword wine and thus a life long PLUS point ahead of you. without 1) above you most likely never get another chance in a top page
I will suggest 1st you need to check back. What are the changes you made lastly before loosing rank. 1. Did you made significant changes in content of your web site pages. Did you lost keyword density on your web site pages. 2. Did you lost back links 3. Did you lost few quality back links 4. Did you lost on containing terms 5. Is your back links anchor text has been change at some important places. These may give you the answer for loosing rank. Also check is your web site has been penalized for some reason.
This is the $64,000 question. If you figure the answer out to this, you will be a billionaire. Google is very secretive and always changes things up so no one can figure out exactly how to get and stay ranked for a particular keyword. I had the exact same thing happen. My site is in my mind a "training wheels" site, (learning about all this stuff) and I was getting about 100 visitors per day and ranking #1 for "bud light lime review". Then, this week I see visitors go from 100, to 64, to 40, and yesterday I had 13! Also, I went from #1 for that term to # 24! Nothing new, maybe a new review post but that's it. My site is only a couple months old, but its weird how it happens.
You website needs *TEXT* content on your home page, you have way too many pictures, make you navigation a text type of navigation... it needs loads of SEO work. All those keywords on your meta tags are nothing with out content.
