Why people spend money on a non-developed site/domain?

Recently i got a new paid submission on my general web directory,
it's a normal real estate related website,
then i reviewed and approved the listing,
a few days ago i suddenly found the site has "changed" to a parked domain,
and then today the site has been changed to "404 not found" error.
why people still spend money on a non-developed site/domain?

 

It sounds like the owner might simply be experiencing some technical difficulties with the site or has decided, for whatever reason, to abandon the domain.

 

Wonder if the site had stolen content, got hit with a DMCA, the reported articles were removed by the service provider and the site was finally abandoned?

My experience with these creeps is that they usually just replace the reported content with other stolen content. Perhaps the web host did the right thing and took them down completely.

 

Less experienced people with less knowledge in internet marketing often do this.

 

404 not found it's mean that website's server have receive much of unordinate traffic amount so the server block this website temporarily

 

I have noticed the owner today,
if he don't reply me and get the problem solved,
i will inactive the listing first.

 

Server maybe busy when the error appeared.
I think the owner want to make it different with other contents. Just my advice.
uoften will find some websites are under selling.lol

 

There are lots of circumstances behind this.

might be moved to new server
changing of script
changing of contents
server may be busy
Admins busy
etc etc
