i will be offering designs soon, for the pure reason i need money for xmas and i work on get a freelancer alot and i always make a mock up design and sometimes you dont get the job so you get spare design templates.

I sell my logos for 2$ because I am new to this and trying to expand my portfolio

I just don't feel like I should be selling my logos for 100$ just like the experienced professionals...

Or even 10$ for that manner....

You will find people who have limited budget to work with tends to look for something that they can afford. Yet, there are still people who are willing to pay more for quality and unique digital work. Let's not assume everything cheap is of low quality and also let's assume designers who charge more could deliver high quality work.

Honestly, I don't think people who charge less will bring the market down. For some designers (starter), they have perfectly good reason to charge less.

There is no need to compete on prices. Just find your target market and put up a good plan to win the business. Build a good portfolio, show your quality works to your potential clients, give them a good reason to order from you and provide them the best service. I am sure you will do as good as (if not better than) those who charge less for their work.

You want to make rules and cry how you spent 700 dollars for PS and you cannot do any work for 20 bucks. Well who cares really ? Only you....
Newbies has to design also. You are getting old and scared of all those kids who can design better and cheaper and don't need to justify dollars spent on "wquipment" since they know open source alternatives.

Man no one cares what you can buy and how much is your time worth! If someone considers his time worth 3$ who aew you to talk about ?
I understand your frustration but go and get laid or something instead of telling people how much should they charge. It is free world afterall....
Or you are telling me you are better person because you have legal PS and charge 100x more than a person with gimp or paint.net who is charging less ?
Guess what you are bad businessman since you bought something and now you cannot justify its cost since all those kids are selling cheap templates around.
If I can design a template in one hour and get 2 packs of cigarettes that is good for me. Guess you don't smoke huh ? Do you design ?
How much is your time worth NOW reading this thread, posting or thinkinh how will you reply ? You would cut cost if you would look for clients and design instead of trashing other people right ?

I so agree if people want to sell designs for cheap then they should.. we dont need people like you(ansi) crying to the mods of dp saying "omg please make them stop selling designs so cheap" Cause i wanna charge them $400 instead of $3 for the same quality..!!!
